…I take that as a compliment. To me, there is a heightened quality to hand-made art. Maybe it’s the intention and focus the artist weaves into the artwork, maybe it’s the imperfections and inconsistencies that remind us of nature. Maybe it’s because the art gets more beautiful with age, or that the rich traditions link us to our ancestors. Whatever the reason, and in the face of expanding technologies, I joyfully choose to to create with my hands.
